Ms. Eng. Leire Serrano. European projects manager at DeustoTech-Mobility. She is Industrial Management Eng. by the University of Deusto. Leire is EU Project Manager at Deustotech -Mobility and transport unit. She is in charge of promoting international projects in the area of Intelligent Transport Systems, particularly in Horizon 2020 and CEF transport programmes. She has ten years’ experience in the coordination and management of European R&D projects, currently she is the coordinator of TIMON H2020 project (GA no 636220), and participates in POSTLowcit project (CEF Transport-reference: 2015-ES-TM-0239-S).

Leire started working in R&D projects domain in 2008, at Indra Sistemas, working as R&D projects consultant. She managed projects at European level for technologies oriented to security, in the area of chemist detection, critical infrastructure protection and access control in land borders. She has coordinated several project proposals for the Seventh Framework programme managed by the European Commission, FORLAB (Title: Forensic Laboratory for in-situ evidence analysis in a post blast scenario), BASYLIS (Title: mobile, autonomous and affordable system to increase safety in large unpredictable environments), ABC4EU (ABC gates for Europe), these projects have been awarded and are currently in execution phase. She has also been involved in several projects execution, such as OPTIX (GA no 218037), FORLAB (GA no 285052) and BASYLIS (GA no 261786). On a previous stage she worked in KPMG consultancy and auditing firm, in the area of credit risk analysis, as technical consultant for project related to the calculation of core capital and advanced systems in Basilea regulatory framework.
