On June 24th, DeustoTech Mobility member Hugo Landaluce has been honored with the PhD. Grade. His thesis was entitled “The bits window: a procedure applied to an RFID anti-collision protocol based on queries and passive tags to decrease latency and energy consumption” and was supervised by Asier Perallos.
The thesis is focused on the field of RFID technology, improving the process of reading passive tags in particular. The main contribution of the work done by Hugo focuses on the optimization (reduction of latency, energy consumption and transmitted bits) of collision detection algorithms when multiple tags are read simultaneously.
